While I find your observations to be critical. There is one element that does not fit comfortably under that collective umbrella. First, I would like to enquire; in your view, what is the difference between colour and race and do the differences (if any) make them compatible. For example, a product of a "black and white" relationship often abandons or is persuaded to abandon half of that union by embracing a self imposed denial of an integral part of his/her existence. In the US, it would be safe to say that the majority of people labelled as "black" are actually the product of interacial (black and white) liasons dating back to slavery. Is clarity important within this context to embrace the ideals of your observations?
