World History: Afri-centric Analysis

Dr. Kwame NantambuAs T&T celebrates the United Nations General Assembly-sponsored “International Year for People of African Descent”, this article conducts an Afri-centric analysis of world history.

At the outset, it must be stated that the European enslavement of African people only represents .01 per cent of the history of African people on this planet. Put another way, for 99.9 per cent of their history, Africans were a free people.

Indeed, it is too often assumed that “African history began with the slave trade.” Contrary to this Euro-centric myth, “there were a thousand years of independent state formation and state management in inner West Africa called the Western Sudan before the slave trade.”

In addition, let the record show that between 1400 and 1600, “Europeans freed themselves from the lethargy of the Middle Ages, the aftermath of the Crusades and the famine and plagues that had taken one-third of the population of Europe. It is also the period when Europeans freed themselves from almost a thousand year fear of Islam and what they referred to as the Infidel Arabs who had been controlling the Mediterranean and its trade routes since the decline of the Roman Empire in the middle of the 7th century.”

“The renewal of European nationalism, the marriage of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain, the expulsion of the Arabs, Moors and the Jews from Spain in 1492 and the introduction of the slave trade gave Europe a new economic lease on life. Europeans had to create a rationale and a series of myths to justify their new position and what they intended to extract from non-European people.”

As R.R. Palmer and Joel Cotton point out in their book titled” A History of the Modern World”(1984):

“Europeans were by no means the pioneers of human civilization. Half of man’s recorded history had passed before anyone in Europe could read or write. The priests of Egypt began to keep written records between 4,000 and 3,000 B.C., but more than two thousand years later, the poems of Homer were still being circulated in the Greek city-states by word of mouth. Shortly after 3,000 B.C., while the Pharaohs were building the first pyramids (in Egypt), Europeans were creating nothing more distinguished than huge garbage heaps.”

This ancient African-Kemetic historical reality is further corroborated by Cheikh Anta Diop as follows: “Universal knowledge runs from the Nile Valley toward the rest of the world, in particular, Greece, which served as an intermediary. As a result, no thought, no ideology is foreign to Africa which was the land of their birth.”

And French historian Count C.F. Volney concurs in his book titled “Ruins of Empire” (1980) thus, “There are a people, now forgotten, discovered, while others were yet barbarians, the elements of the arts and sciences. A race of men now rejected for their black skin and wooly hair founded on the study of the laws of nature these civil and religious systems which still govern the universe.”

Deceased African-American, Afri-centric scholar and historian Dr. John Henrik Clarke postulates that “Civilization did not start in European countries and the rest of the world did not wait in darkness for the Europeans to bring the light… most of the history books in the last five hundred years have been written to glorify Europeans at the expense of other peoples. Most Western historians have not been willing to admit that there is an African history to be written about and that this history predates the emergence of Europe by thousands of years. It is not possible for the world to have waited in darkness for the Europeans to bring the light because, for most of the early history of man, the Europeans themselves were in darkness. When the light of culture came for the first time to the people who would later call themselves Europeans, it came from Africa. Later, (Europeans) would colonize world scholarship, mainly to show or imply that Europeans were the only creators of what could be called a civilization.”

The fact of the matter is that as part of the “manifestation of the evil genius of Europe”, Europeans have not only colonized the world but they have also colonized/Europeanized information about the world, including the concept of the African God. Ergo, today Europe is the Subject of world history, that is, HIS- STORY while Africa is the Object of world history.

The celebration of the “International Year for People of African Descent” is a timely global clarion call for African people to internalize their Africanness so as to “live in the hope that in the process of time, their turn will come, when they will occupy a prominent position in the world’s history and when they will command a voice in the (global) council of nations(as their ancestors once did in the B. C. Era)”

African people must realize that we are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

As “The Revelation of Saint John the Divine” prognosticates in the “Holy Bible” (Chapter 2:26): “And he (the African) that overcometh and keepeth my words unto the end, to him (the African) will I give power over the nations” of the earth.

“Africans of the world unite; we have nothing to loose but our minds”

  1. No problem with this article except the quote from “The Bible”
The introduction of this book to the African Civilisation left Africa on their knees and they are still struggling with one another while still on their knees instead of celebrating a rich sovereign History of Africanity and their ancestral past and pride

    1. Bill:

Actually the so-called “Holy Bible” is the book of our forefathers. We the slave descendants of the West are Hebrew Israelites of the blood. Our enslavement was punishment for disobedience. Our redemption is prophesied. But many of us — two thirds — will be cut off.

See the youtube vid entitled “The Hebrew Kingdoms of Africa Part II”:

We need precisely to return to Yahweh. Not to Xtianity, mind. For assuredly the Xtianity that was foisted upon us was used further to enslave. When you read the Book, you will find that what it says, and what Xtianity has fooled us into thinking it says, are two very different matters. For one thing, the Israelites were a Negro people, just like us, their descendants. For another thing, all, repeat all, the prophets were bloodline descended from Jacob, and were also Negro. Furthermore, Yeshua Ha Maschiach (wrongly called Jesus Christ) was Negro, with black skin and woolly hair, as attested in scripture. Also, the so-called Jews — Khazar, Sephardic, Edomite — are impostors that stole our identity, as was prophesied. They do not fit the prophecies. So just as “Western Civ” sought to separate Egyptian Civilization from its black Hamitic African authors (George GM James, Stolen Legacy; Cheikh Anta Diop, Civilization or Barbarism; etc.) so too Western Gentile Xtianity has sought to separate Hebrew Israelite identity from its true owners, we the Negro slave descendants. This knowledge is just now starting to penetrate our consciousness as a people. Just when we thought, well, we were simply and amorphously some sort of mixed up “African” callaloo.

Dr. Nantambu is starting to get it. You should too.

      Shalom.

  2. As “The Revelation of Saint John the Divine” prognosticates in the “Holy Bible” (Chapter 2:26): “And he (the African) that overcometh and keepeth my words unto the end, to him (the African) will I give power over the nations” of the earth.

I understand the point you’re seeking to make, and only partially agree with it. Scripture does not make a broad-brush promise to “the African”.

Power over the nations is promised to Yeshua and his brethren, the children of Israel. “And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed” (Daniel 7:14). The “him” referred to here by Daniel is Yeshua, as we see from John the Revelator:

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” (Revelation 5:9-12).

The “thou who was slain” identifies Yeshua (Christ). He is also the first-begotten of the dead (Revelation 1:5), referring to his resurrection and ascension, and implying more to come.

The ones he has redeemed out of every nation, are the children of Israel. We were scattered to every nation for our disobedience. But Yahweh promises our redemption, under Yeshua (Jeremiah 30:9; Ezekiel 34:24). The promise is that the children of Israel shall rule, under Yeshua, and under Yahweh.

The promise is not to Africans in general. It is to the children of Israel in particular. And even to the children of Israel, it is a necessary but not sufficient condition.

Not only is prophecy clear that 2/3 of us will be cut off (Zechariah 13:8), it is also clear that those who will rule with Yeshua are required to be “called, chosen, and faithful” (Revelation 17:14). There is a requirement of righteousness, which requires obedience to Yahweh’s law. Even further there is a requirement that we “overcome” (Revelation 2:26 as quoted by Nantambu).

The question is overcome what? The short answer to that is overcome evil, even unto death. Yeshua is our example in that regard. We must overcome as Yeshua overcame. “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” (Revelation 3:21). Yeshua overcame Satan’s temptation (Matthew 16:23), and he overcame the fear of death (Matthew 26:38).

So we should be clear that the promise is not for every “African”, nor even for every bloodline Israelite slave descendant. There are requirements. And there are exclusions: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8).

In this regard, every -ism is a form of idolatry. Yahweh’s way is a straight and narrow way of adherence to his law as handed down by Moses. All other ways are the product of man’s imagination, and count as idolatry. Israelites of the blood, as are we the Negro slave descendants, do not have idolatry as an option. It is forbidden by the 1st and 2nd commandments. That includes so-called “black nationalism”.

    Shalom.

PS. Prophets of the Book do not “prognosticate” btw. They prophesy. Prognosticators generally appoint themselves. Prophets are called, chosen, and faithful.

  3. Here are two youtube video clips which show very eloquently the history of the Negro, prophesied before it happened, by Moses, ca. 3,500 years ago.

No Afri-centric, or black nationalist, or marxist, or political scientist, or sociological scientist, or any other idolatrist analysis comes anywhere near close to the truth here expressed.

The Xtian gentiles gave us back our Book (Yahweh said his word would always be nigh) but hid its real truths behind a bodyguard of lies, e.g. depicting Yeshua as a white Jesus Christ, teaching us that we were gentiles, and the impostor Jews were the real Israelites.

Other religions are even further away from our Israelite truth and reality.

We need to wake up, and discard all false doctrines. “Seek ye out of the book of Yahweh, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them” (Isaiah 34:16).

    Shalom.
