3 Million Dollar Monkey!!!
The erection of an 85-foot statue of The Hindu Deity Hanuman by the Sanatan Dharma Maha Saba at an Ashram in Orange Field is said to be the largest of it’s kind outside of India. According to Sat Mahraj this work of art will benefit all of Trinidad and Tobago. Sat Mahraj also thinks, or said without thinking, that this statue will foster and enhance national unity.
If Africans in Trinidad and Tobago and in the many Colonial Ghettos around the world does not understand or appreciate their own History and Culture. Will a composition of art depicting a Monkey… “(that’s all they see)” unite Afro-Trinbagonians to embrace customs that does not accept or respect their divinity?Sat Mahraj made it plain to the nation, if his daughter was ever to marry an African man he will disown her.
National Unity without Sexual Unity is impossible!
If Sat Mahraj cannot cuddle Africans in ultimate unity, how can he expect Africans in this country who are totally ignorant about Hinduism to unite and acknowledge an effigy that would never bring them closer to knowing the truth about themselves.
