Hurricane Emily is gaining strength and is heading directly to Grenada, St Lucia and St. Vincent.

Prime Minister of Grenada, Dr. Keith Mitchell called into our local television station and briefed us on what was taking place in Grenada. He said that Grenada is more prepared this time and his government has issued all warnings.

Prime Minister of St. Vincent, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves called in and said that they are prepared for hurricane Emily. Presently there is rainfall in some areas in St. Vincent. The sea surges are not present as yet. They are preparing for heavy rainfall and have pre-positioned heavy duty equipment to assist. People are already moving into shelters.
