Culture

I am a university student writing a research paper on the prospects of international business operations in Trinidad and Tobago and would like any relevant information that you could supply me with. I have a few questions concerning the conduct of business in Trinidad and would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to answer them.

1. How does the culture of Trinidad and Tobago affect the business environment there?

2. Are there any rules of business etiquette that a foreigner doing business in Trinidad and Tobago should be aware of? (Are there formal greetings or business protocol the foreigner should be aware of?)

3. In Business: The Ultimate Resource by Daniel Goleman, it states that Trinidad and Tobago is one of the more corrupt nations in the world, would you agree with that statement and what in your opinion would cause him to make that statement?

4. In the United States many sectors of business are still seen as a men only area, does Trinidad and Tobago also have this issue or do they practice more equality in the workplace?

5. In your opinion, what industries would flourish well in Trinidad and Tobago and why?

Thank you for taking the time to look this over. I hope to hear from you in the future and would value any information that you can give me on doing business in Trinidad.
