Does anyone have any idea why satellite service has not been considered as an option?
If all the ISP's pooled their resources it should be very easy to purchase and launch a mini-satellite. Why has it not been considered?
Are their governmental regulations preventing this situation from occuring?
The cost of getting satellite service to people's homes is much cheaper than the labor intensive hard wiring of broadband, why is this option not being explored?
Provide a true alternative to consumers and then we can talk of real competition. TSTT has no incentive to reduce their prices if they are the only game in town.
The same could be said for the Water and Sewerage Authority and the Electric Company. There are numerous cheaper alternative methods and resources out their to deliver these services to customers. Who will be the first to take the plunge? Ever heard of Wind or Solar energy. Many states in the US are switching. Even individuals are getting off the grid and installing their own personal solar energy and water systems.
Are we content to sit on our arses and bitch until the government has established another monopoly on these alternatives.
