Music piracy is a serious problem in Trinidad and worldwide as well. This problem is mainly due to poor anti-piracy enforcement.
Police authorities need to carry out more raids, on a regular basis, and seize all pirated products discovered. Immediate and strong enforcement action against the criminals involved, update laws to ensure adequate copyright protection and enforcement.
Customs authorities should be encouraged to take action to seize suspect products entering the country.
People need to start learning how to do without what they can't immediately afford. Not having sufficient funds to purchase music doesn't justify contributing to an illegal act.
