POLICE HAVE detained an Israeli national who was found living in a wooden shack in the Northern range, TV6 News reported last night.
The man, said to be in his 30's, was detained at the Arouca Police Station, and is being questioned about possible terrorist links, the report said.
Police reportedly found a duplicate immigration stamp, which the suspect apparently used to overstay his time in Trinidad by almost one year. The report stated that police also found pieces of wire, screws and electronic devices and a soldering iron in the shack.
TV6 reported that the suspect, who barely speaks English, will be questioned by Interpol and Immigration agencies.
