Browne calls for co-operation to combat illicit weapons The ease of access to illegal firearms in the Caribbean continues to harm its societies with unacceptable consequences. As such it is imperative that there is better co-operation within and among national, regional and global stakeholders to combat, prevent and eradicate the illicit weapons trade.

According to the AGLA website, the Criminal Justice Unit will lead the discussion, focusing on the gaps in the justice system's ability to meet the needs of victims. Domestic violence, the statement noted, remains a scourge in society, disproportionately impacting women and girls.
