Another barge in danger of sinking
WHILE oil spill clean-ups continue on Tobago's southwestern shore, people in the Hope Beach area have called for the speedy removal of another barge that, over two weeks ago, was listing badly and is now in danger of sinking off the southern coast.

PNM councillor for Auzonville/Tunapuna John-Boyd Briggs said, at the moment, his district was probably "one of the hottest" areas in the country with seven or eight different criminal gangs.
He said because of the crime situation, Tunapuna saw a decline in visitors for Carnival compared to previous years and residents are living in fear.
Kidnapped Debe businessman found tied to coconut tree in Couva
The victim, Arshad Mohammed, of Gandhi Village, was found by a villager who alerted other villagers of Carolina Village and the police.
The ordeal began at around 11 am on Friday, when the victim was driving his red Nissan X-Trail along Rahamut Trace in Debe.

Recalling the horrific ordeal, Mohammed said he went to drop his mother, Annie Mohammed, in their garden at Rahamut Trace, Woodland, when two men with guns tied him up and threw him in the back seat of his Nissan X-Trail.
Mohammed said his face was concealed, and as the men drove off with him, they beat him mercilessly on his head while asking him personal questions.
