My position on Petrotrin
The Lashley Report and one of the Reports of the Joint Select Committee both spoke of the governance, lack of accountability and transparency that were evident in Petrotrin prior to its closure. At the panel discussion I also said that it would be useful to distil from the Petrotrin experience errors to avoid in other State enterprises since we cannot afford to have another major State enterprise fail.
