PM: COVID has created $15 billion hole
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley yesterday admitted the COVID-19 pandemic has devastated our efforts in the tourism market, creating a $15 billion hole which is likely to impact the country's upcoming budget considerably.

Elderly couple robbed, cops recover stolen items
According to a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), at about 5:30 pm on Saturday 29th August 2020, a couple arrived at their home located at Sea View Gardens, Carenage, and upon opening the garage door located on the south-eastern side of the house, they observed a man in the kitchen area. An alarm was raised, and a struggle ensued between the assailant and the 78-year-old man. This led to both the man and 69-year-old his wife being beaten.
