World Bank revises TT growth projections after Govt protests
The World Bank has revised its economic growth estimates in 2018 and 2019 for TT from negative to positive after the Ministry of Finance queried the projections.

TT number one trading partner with Cuba
While TT remains Cuba's number one trading partner in the Caribbean and fifth in all of Latin America and the Caribbean, exports to Cuba have fluctuated significantly over the period 2012 to 2017. This was announced yesterday by Norris Herbert, permanent secretary, Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Venezuela cops stop $40m T&T-bound cocaine cargo
A cocaine shipment with an estimated street value close to TT$40 million, which was destined for Trinidad and Tobago, was intercepted by members of the Cuerpo de Investigaciones Cientificas Penales Y Criminalistics (CICPC) in Venezuela yesterday. The drugs were hidden in secret compartments of luxurious cars which were travelling in a caravan at the time.
