The promise made by Political Leader of the United National Congress, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, on an election platform on Monday that she would repeal the controversial Property Tax legislation, should the UNC/COP coalition be elected to Government, would be welcomed by many, who today have difficulty in coping with the rising cost of living.

The issues
AT each of their most recent political rallies, the leaders of PNM and UNC each failed to state their plans if elected to government in the May 24 snap general election. They kept their cards close to their chest, probably as a deliberate campaign strategy.
