Who can you trust?

In today's Trinidad and Tobago, who can you trust? Formal allegations have suggested that there is corruption in the Protective services, and the same goes for members of Parliament, branches of the Civil Services, and widespread among the general population. Meanwhile the Religious community waffles as though lost. Being poor exemplars, we continue to fail the next generation. In essence we can be accurately referred to as a corrupt society. Fifty years of independence finds us in this quagmire with no respite in sight. Is there room for optimism? Can we turn the tide or is it too late?
