The LURE

Hello to all I am sending this to the public at large to let people know of a grave injustice i was subjected to at the LURE restaurant and bar on the Chaguaramas peninsula. My friends and I decided to visit the new night spot after hearing some rave reviews about the party there the previous weekend. So we went five of us of all varying races well dressed in a semi casual manner and we are all over 21 years of age.

So we arrive at the venue nice back drop of the cove proceeded to walk inside only to be stopped by the security. We were told that we could not come in because of management rules, so we further inquired and the guard simply stated that we could not enter
. I then proceeded to ask to speak the the manager the guard then called the manager who came out looking extremely annoyed. I asked him in a calm manner as to what are the rules of the establishment, he then glanced over my party and said, " Our type wasnt wanted here", we laughed and asked him to further explain he then stated that we should read between the lines and go elsewhere. He then asked the security guard to escort us off the premises and stormed off. The guard in turn then had little work to do as we turned around got back in our cars and drove off.

I would like to think that i live in a country of open minded individuals with a love for their fellowman, such racism and disrespect does not belong in our sweet country of Trinidad and Tobago. I am there fore writing this so that the public at large should know so that they may not have to experience what we went through.

DO NOT GO TO "THE LURE "

please pass this on as much as you could, keep t&t racism free
