Having read the facts as they relate to Mr Durity, one is compelled to conclude that the bureaucratic machinery in our Government departments continue to malfunction as a result of inadequate care and attention.
We would all agree that what happened to Mr Durity could have very well happened to any other magistrate, be they of Chinese, Indian or African descent. The Privy Council has rendered similar opinions in the past and some "so called" Trinidadian siezed the opportunity to tell the country that racism was responsible for somebody not being promoted in the service. Could you imagine if Mr Durity was of Indian descent the uproar it would have caused with the likes of Mr Anand Ramlogan.
Mr Ramlogan, sieze this opportunity to comment on what should be done to avoid such occurrences and stop the flow of this racist atmosphere that you have been spearheading in our beautiful country.
