CNC3, the newest local television station, has been given the all-clear to begin transmission by executive director of the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT), Dr John Prince.
Dr Prince wrote to Grenfell Kissoon, Managing Director of Trinidad Publishing Co Ltd (TPCL), late on Friday evening, withdrawing his warning of the previous day.
This move followed a meeting between Dr Prince and Kissoon earlier in the day.
It was reported on Thursday that Kissoon had advised that TPCL was contemplating legal action, after Prince had faxed a letter to the CNC3 management, three hours before the station was due to go on air, stating that it would be unlawful to begin a “broadcasting service.”
