Given the threat of war being directed by america against Venezuela, it is to be hoped that WE the people of Trinidad & Tobago can put aside "where we come from" and to BEGIN TO DEFEND WHERE WE ARE. For years the successive american gov'ts have cast an evil-eye over OUR region (please refer to our post-independent histories), claiming taht it is stragic for "THEIR PROTECTION." Venezuela for all our petty squabbles with them over the years IS STILL IN THE CARIBBEAN REGION and only a few miles off shore. It's about time we begin to re-claim our sense of plcae again.
