I agree totally with what you have put forward. It is the angle that makes the most sense.
For years this little tit for tat has existed between Barbados and Trinidad over the small fish issue. The big fish now however seems to be the oil and gas.

However behind Barbados fishing for another source of cash flow for their economy, there seems to be someone else pulling the stings. Hmm, who could that be? Could it be companies in Britain and the United States who are desperately looking for more sources of crude oil and Natural Gas? Who else can easily 'tie up' the Barbados government with promises of a huge payday?

I think the 'flying fish' issue flies in the face of the intelligent.
