Wade Mark on ethnic descrimination *LINK*

U.N. may have to be approached for help with ethnic descrimination.

The United National Congress says there may come a time when it would have to approach the United Nations for help in dealing with the problems of ethnic discrimination in Trinidad and Tobago.

In the wake of a meeting with the Secretary General of the United Nations yesterday, U.N.C. Chairman Wade Mark reported he has already put Mr. Kofi Annan on notice.

According to Chairman Mark the Government’s handling of the racial problems in the country has not been good.

Mr. Mark told the media this was told to Secretary General Annan.

Mr. Annan met with the U.N.C. representatives following talks with Prime Minister Patrick Manning at Whitehall.
