True Patriotism revealed

Unpatriotic! Just a synonym for disloyal, except that the disloyalty in this case is to one's country.

For those of us who for some reason appear to be challenged when thinking of the various factions in our society; in relation to their patriotism, maybe this analogy would help. Though I know that for the zombies, nothing short of shock therapy will work.

Imagine this: If P, your supposedly good palywal were to get wind of a rumor concerning you, something reprehensible, disgusting and shameful. Something that would bring disgrace and alienation on you for a long time. And he, instead of diligently seeking the truth of the matter, miserably failed to corroborate the facts and then for some unknown reason did moronically rush to add credibility to the hearsay and insult to injury. Apparently, never even wondering whether the reports were false at all. Would you say then that P was a loyal friend to you?

Now keeping all the above in mind, what would you say about an ex PM of TnT; who was only too eager to spread nasty, unfounded rumors about our beloved country. Especially since 9/11 and the resultant world front against terror. P would go on to explain to our foreign colleagues that (We have al Quaeda here; terrorist are in league with the gov., etc.) Speeding to judgment before a proper deciphering of the facts, and adding credibility to these lies with reiterative and adamant remarks endorsed by virtue of his current and past positions in government.

Seems quite obvious to me that the only time that P and his like will feel like TnT belongs to them as much as anyone else's, is when they literally own it or have the power in the seats of government to thief it as they will.
