In Response To: Two schools and many fools (Terry)

Ordinary Africans and Indians in Trinidad and Tobago should now call on Hi-Lo food stores to pay for cultural programs to increase awareness, which includes the awareness of their own elitist narrow-minded clique.

Ordinary 'poor' Africans and Indians heavily patronize their food stores. Anthony Proudfoot, chairman of the Hi-Lo Food Stores, made a bigoted statement while showing his disapproval of the plan to erect two schools in his preferred upper-class Westmoorings community and for this we should make them pay to learn.

Racism, with its offspring, class discrimination, is rampant in Trinidad and Tobago and this remains because the elites control the media and many of the politicians. When they finance ignorant opportunistic politicians to protect their corrupt business interest, they leave the ordinary people to fight among themselves while they fade into their preferred upper-class communities.

Hi-Lo can afford to pay for education for many more than their management and other elitist friends, so we must demand education for ALL sponsored by Hi-Lo food stores or people should BOYCOTT their stores.
