Former housing minister Camille Robinson-Regis continues to dismiss Government claims that the previous People's National Movement (PNM) administration allowed Housing Development Corporation (HDC) communities to deteriorate, insisting routine maintenance was carried out while she held office.
Slain police officer honoured with military send-off
Douglas, 48, was shot dead on July 28. Police reported that he was sitting in his white Nissan Tiida along South Bank Road, near Hydraulic Trace, Kelly Village, Caroni, at around 11.05 pm when gunmen confronted him.
During the confrontation, Douglas shot one of the men before he was shot. The injured suspect was taken to the Arima Hospital, where he later died. He was subsequently identified as 19-year-old Adetole Ammon of Printeryville, Arima.
Couple charged with Diego Martin woman's murder
The Little Caesar's, Woodbrook, employee had reportedly gone to her former boyfriend's home at Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas, to collect $4,500 that was owed to her.
She was allegedly asked to collect the money and, upon arriving at the house, became embroiled in a heated argument with her former partner.
Female cop accused of helping gang detained on PDO
Her PDO claimed she had "confirmed access to a cache of firearms and ammunition and is engaged in the trafficking of firearms, ammunition, production and distribution of illegal narcotics, armed robberies, shootings and murder." It said Joseph also "provides transport and supplies information on police exercises."
