NGC, EOG sign new gas deal
As the National Gas Company signed a new gas supply contract with EOG Resources Trinidad Ltd yesterday, NGC chairman Gerald Ramdeen noted that the agreement with EOG represents more than a routine signing.

Cops kill alleged extortionist during sting
Senior police officials believe they have dismantled a major extortion outfit operating in the Central Division, following a sting operation in which one man was killed and another arrested on Thursday. A third man escaped from the sting but officials assured that an arrest is imminent.

Fourth suspect shot in Cunupia operation
Police said the latest shooting took place shortly after midday at Ramnarine Trace, Cunupia, when officers confronted a man during ongoing searches in the area. Further details on his condition were not immediately available.
