US Eases Venezuela oil sanctions, PM welcomes move
As the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) eased restrictions allowing energy companies to operate in Venezuela's oil sector this afternoon, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has welcomed the move, stating that her government was optimistic about the development.

Couva man and girlfriend shot dead
The double killing occurred around 2.30 p.m. when Toussaint and Hanandez were outside of his townhouse with the child.

Police were told that a grey Toyota Corolla pulled alongside the couple and the child, and the shooter, clad in a dark grey hoodie and grey track pants, emerged from the vehicle.
