T&T receives US$17.3B from energy companies in 14 years
Energy companies generated an estimated US$17.3 billion in foreign exchange between 2011 and 2024, underscoring the sector's continued centrality to T&T's economic stability despite growing volatility, according to data presented by the Trinidad and Tobago Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (TTEITI).

Penal man dies in freak accident in Siparia
Initial reports said he was cutting down a tree along David Jackman Trace, Quinam Road, Siparia, around 9.20 am with an employee when the incident occurred.

The employee told police he tried to help Rampersadsingh, who was trapped beneath the tree. He used a chainsaw to cut parts of the tree trunk to free him, but he was unresponsive.
