The challenges of remote work Having more public servants work remotely would bring immediate benefits. Consider traffic alone. Figures from the Central Statistical Office (CSO) also show that the government employs about 25% of the national labour force, or about 150,000 people. Taking even a fraction of them off the roads at peak hours would greatly ease traffic congestion.
