MURDERED FOR 'TAX' – mom of 3 gunned down at St Augustine home
One month after she gave birth to her youngest son, a St Augustine mother of three was shot dead outside her home on Friday afternoon.

Woman chopped by her husband remains warded at hospital
A Sangre Grande woman who was chopped by her husband on Thursday today remains warded at hospital – and is facing the possibility that she may lose both her hands following the cutlass attack.

The 27-year-old of Kowlessar Road, Coalmine, was walking home around 3.20 pm on March 2 – in the company of her boyfriend, when her estranged husband emerged from some bushes and began chopping her about the head and body.

The magistrate fined him $1,000 for driving while disqualified and $1,500 for driving without an insurance certificate. He was given six months to pay the fines.
