Scrap iron dealers consider legal options against Government
SCRAP Iron Dealers Association president Allan Ferguson said the association was prepared to take legal action against the Government if it implemented a proposed six-month ban to close to the scrap iron industry.

One dead following shooting outside Residence
Three men were shot early this morning while sitting in a cabana outside the Residence nightclub at One Woodbrook Place in Port of Spain.

Father witnesses son's murder
Aaron Maloney, 41, of Princes Town, was sitting on the pavement in front of his father's home at Manahambre Road at around 11.10 pm when he was shot dead by a gunman. He died at the scene.

Charlieville man killed at workplace
Police said at around 11.30 am, Deen, of Ul Haq Street, Charlieville, was at his workplace Varune's Auto located at Naraaloo Ramaya Marg Road, Charlieville, when a Silver Chevy vehicle with three occupants pulled. The men, who were all armed with heavy firearms, fired several shots, hitting Deen about the body.
