COVID LOCKDOWN AGAIN
To stem the growing number of Covid-19 cases and flatten the curve for a third time in Trinidad and Tobago, the Government has announced new restrictions.

Vaccine benefits outweigh risks, says Parasram
Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram has deemed the incidents of persons experiencing blood cloths after taking the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine as of low risk and not a significant threat to their safety, following a TV6 report on Tuesday that an elderly man contracted a blood clot which he believed originated from his first dose of the vaccine.

Tourism Ministry shuts down its four beach facilities
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts has advised that with effect from midnight on Wednesday, the beach facilities under its direct responsibility, namely, Maracas Beach Facility, Las Cuevas Beach Facility, Manzanilla Beach Facility and Vessigny Beach Facility will be closed for 21 days.

According to the Ministry of Health, both victims were adult males with multiple co-morbidities. In addition, 85 people were reported to have newly contracted the viral respiratory illness on Wednesday, one of whom was a recently repatriated national.
