3 explosive eruptions, now volcanic lightning
Dr Erouscilla Joseph, a director at The UWI Seismic Research Centre says that as of 7p.m Friday, there had been three explosive eruptions at the La Soufriere Volcano since morning.
Third explosive eruption at La Soufriere
The UWI Seismic Research Centre has confirmed that a third explosive eruption is currently underway at the La Soufriere Volcano. It started at 6:35pm.

"Why I'm anxious for that, this is not simply going to be like a hurricane where it might just be a seven-day business, in some cases a two-day business. Professor Robertson (Richard) has indicated that depending on the extent of the explosion and the damage done, it could be for months."
