Number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the UWI and other local sites for testing for COVID-19 - 24,449. Number of samples which have tested positive at public and private facilities in Trinidad and Tobago 1,984

Another death, 64 more test positive for covid19
Nine people have been discharged bringing the total to 700. There are 96 patients in hospital – 73 people at the Couva hospital, of whom seven are in ICU and 12 in the High Dependency Unit, while 23 people are at Caura. There are currently six people in step-down facilities – five in UWI, Debe and one at NAPA.

ASJA General Secretary Rahimool Hosein explained that while online services could be employed for other forms of Islamic worship, it is not feasible for the performance of their prayers which requires them to be led by an Imam. Hosein said it poses further difficulties for the Friday prayer called Jummah.
