Pay heed, Madam PM

Pay heed, Madam PM
The Prime Minister, should be "so advised" that before she makes any other statements on Dr Wayne Kublalsingh's hunger strike, she should re-examine the Dr James Armstrong independent report on the Debe to Mon Desir section of the Point Fortin Highway. Questioned on her return home last week, the PM responded that the Highway issue was in the hands of lawyers and it would be inappropriate for her to comment.

Let Good Sense Prevail
ADMITTING that she herself neither supports nor is in favour of hunger strikes, environmental activist Dr Wayne Kublalsingh's wife, Dr Sylvia Moodie-Kublalsingh, yesterday wrote a letter calling on Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to be reasonable.

Rowley asks more about Dick buyout

Rowley said this was evident with the Government's decision to buy out the leave of assistant Police Commissioner Wayne Dick without the input of head of the Police Service Stephen Williams in the matter. The buy out of Dick's leave is valued at over $.5 million.

"And when you asked the prime minister whether she consulted Caricom, she said she talked to Ramlogan and Griffith. And if we did not know before, we now know we are in trouble because our foreign policy is now the random thoughts of Ramlogan and Griffith."

JEALOUSY AT THE CENTRE OF FIRE
HOMICIDE officers investigating the bizarre death of a nine-year-old schoolboy, Abayomi Jerimiah, at his Longdenville, Chaguanas home on Friday night, and the attempted murder of his ten-year-old-sister, have seized a teenage relative's diary in which she allegedly wrote that she felt unloved and was willing to end her life.
