Archie Stuns Cabinet
CHIEF Justice Ivor Archie's stinging condemnation of Government's draft constitution was the talk of the town yesterday after his warning that the proposed measures threatens the independence of the Judiciary. A stunned Cabinet also discussed Archie's strong statement, and is due to issue a response today.

Bernard: I agree with CJ
President of the Industrial Court Cecil Bernard yesterday lamented that no provisions have been made in the draft working document on Constitutional Reform to ensure the court's independence.

WE heartily welcome the recent remarks of Chief Justice (CJ) Ivor Archie at the opening of the Law Term at the Hall of Justice on his concerns over the Government's draft constitution.
