ATM bandit shot, leg amputated
A man who spent his evenings robbing users of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) was shot in the right leg when undercover police officers attempted to arrest him. The gunshot wound to his right knee was so severe that doctors at the San Fernando General Hospital amputated the leg yesterday. He will be taken to court in a stretcher, if necessary, police said last night.
