Guns in upscale areas too
Posted: Saturday, May 28, 2005

THE EDITOR: Is there is one set of laws for citizens of Trinidad and Tobago residing in Laventille and those fortunate enough to reside in Regents Park East, Westmoorings or Goodwood Park? It is illegal for folks in Laventille to be shooting off guns in their impoverished neighbourhood, but quite all right for the offspring of wealthy businessmen to be shooting off guns/air rifles (licensed or unlicensed) in their upscale/locked down neighbourhoods?

Will someone in authority please do something about this before another human being (a child perhaps) is severely maimed or killed by ricocheting bullets and not after it happens, as is the norm in Trinidad and Tobago. Yes, there are other children, beside his, that live in close proximity to this man. Please, someone/anyone, do something before it is too late.
