After forty years of Independence and forty years of voting for the PNM the faithful constituents of Morvant/Laventille along with the rest of the Nation are expected to join the PNM in their 40-Day Conga Celebrations this year.

The PNM government have used Morvant/Laventille like a Political Industry of Stupidity for the past forty years.

The people of Laventille and its East Constituents in Morvant have been chewing on the Gum of the PNM for the past 40 years. " A Gum that has long lost it's sweetness."

As vital as Oxygen is in the avoidance of death so crucial was the electorate of Port-of-Spain South Sealots, Beetham Estate and Laventille including Morvant in the resuscitation of the comatose Peoples National Movement especially in 1986. When the only Pulmonary Activity within the Party came from "Marshall, Muriel and Manning."
