Re: Aloes rejects 'race' song

I see nothing wrong in the song other than the typical "picong" that is associated with Calypso. By Sugar Aloes rejecting the Calypso, he is taking away the essence and purpose of Calypso, which is the freedom of expression. Indo- Trinidadians is not the only racial group to be sang about. For exaample, Cro-Cro sang about the Syrian/ Lebanese group his Calypso song "Kidnap Them". Nothing is offensive about the song. Fact of the matter is, the only thing offensive about the song is Sat Maharaj overt racist comment, which he (Sat Mahahraj) gets away with.
