If as earlier alleged and self imposed by Prime Minister Manning that he is the father of this Nation, it would by extention be appropriate to suggest that the kidnappers and murderers of Vindra Naipaul Coolman are indeed his children.

Tribalistic politics though the norm in our nation is fanned by the subtleties of racism real and/or imagined. And here in Trinidad and Tobago we are not immune to the effect that this has on a dysfunctional population.

Mr. Manning is trying his best to finally put Dr. Eric Williams to rest. We are told that God created man in his own image and likeness and Mr. Manning is gradually attempting to do the same to Trinidad and Tobago. It can be said with certainty that our Prime Minister lacks moral capital.

Even as all eyes are on Mr.Manning, the greater evil are the roles being played by his underlings whose political vulnerability mutes their private indignation to the effect that his political machinations have on those without standing in our society. However,in time it will be difficult to tell the difference between the sheep and the goats, meanwhile they continue to feel secure.

Mr. Manning suggested that when he is no longer Prime Minister, he will become a man of the cloth, realizing of course; the adherence by our people to false Gods and idols. It is ironic though, that some good will emerge from this evil application and that is, that Trinidad and Tobago will be still here when he exits from this worldly stage and that in time a new generation will emerge that will not know or care who he was.
