Evacuation efforts are also currently taking place in Jamaica in preparation for Ivan. The University of the West Indies at Mona has been evacuated. Citizens in high risk areas are also being urged to relocate to shelters across the island. The Trinidad and Tobago Government has also begun organizing emergency airlifts to evacuate CARICOM students in Jamaica completing studies at the University.
