Re: CARICOM MUST REINSTATE ARISTIDE NOW!

We do not need to reinstate Aristide! What sense does it make to have a corrupt leader in office. So that he can walk with his head high while his people starve? I geuss you'll tell us next that the U.S. is making Aristide's people starve. How about the Carribean and it's leaders stick together for their survival. How about the nations of the carribean not put up with any non- sense about corrupt leaders who can't feed there country. I don't understand why the carrbean nations and it's citizens wealthy like the U.S., Canada, Japan. You have something in each Island that most of the world wants. There is definately the demand. What have you've been doing with your resources? Do you even know? I wonder because in the Carribean, there is oil, sugar, fruit, and etc... not to mention over-all climate. Use you resources for economic stability untill you can gain enough to switch exports to something more high tech on a regional scale. With all you have already, there should not be anyone with living in a shack. Noone should not have decent clothes meals, or just basic needs fulfilled. To put Aristide back in office would be like bringing Mabutu back rom the dead, and outting him back in charge. We don't have room for symbolism that adds up to nothing in this world nor in the Carribean. Aristide is gone. They need to get someone who looks out for the best interest of the people, not themselves.
