Are blacks endangered inT&T?

The ongoing furor caused by Denise Belfon's song "Indian Man" which I find to be a beautiful tune with wonderful lyrics, and is consistent with the formats be they political, social, racial or economically associated with our indigenous musical art form, is regretable.

Songs past, such as Congo Man and Sexy Marajin by Sparrow, Nanny Wine by Crazy and Nothing wrong with winning on ah Indian ghul by Machel come readily to mind, were not found to be similarly offensive.

Suddenly, there are new sensitivities and nuances suggesting to me and others that black trinis are rapidly becoming an endangered specie, should they be so designated and is this a fair assessment?
