Dr. Kwame Nantambu<\/a>As the general election heats up in the United States, it becomes essential to posit an outsider’s, albeit foreign, perspective.<\/p>\n

At the outset, it must be stated quite equivocally that the outside world still holds the highest regard\/respect for the United States of America and its president. Indeed, the outside world welcomed the radical change in America’s psyche with the election and subsequent re-election of its first African-American president in Barack Obama.
\n
\nThe fact of the matter is that whether one agrees with or disagrees with US President Obama’s domestic and\/or foreign policy, one can assume that such policy has been thoroughly thought true. One can also assume that such policy was not ad lib and\/or made off-the-cuff.<\/p>\n

The salient reality is that presidential candidate Donald Trump seems to be formulating foreign policy decisions at the stump. To the foreign observer, Trump apparently just seems “to wing” it In addition, no serious, in-depth analysis seems to be present in Donald Trump’s decisions. They are all extremely shallow and devoid of logic.<\/p>\n

In this crucial era of hostile, violent terror attacks, the United States needs a president who thinks through global issues. Donald Trump is certainly not such a definitive presidential candidate. If he were to be elected president of the United States (God forbid), then, respect for the United States will be relegated to a non-existence status by the outside world.<\/p>\n

Put another way, President Donald Trump will give America a bad name.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the majority of the outside world, that is, Third World, would not see a friend in the White House with Donald Trump in residence. The majority of the outside would no longer look up to and admire the United States in terms of its values, compassion, humanism and system of governance.<\/p>\n

In addition, the majority of the outside world would not take America’s foreign policy decisions seriously under President Donald Trump. And the overt proof of this geo-political fact is the response by former President of Mexico Vicente Fox that “I’m not going to pay for that f—ing wall. He (Donald Trump) should pay for it.” This is just one of countless hostile, acerbic and disrespectful re-actions from the outside world to Donald Trump’s ad lib, off-the-cuff foreign policy decisions.<\/p>\n

If this incident represents any foreign yardstick, then, the casual outside observer would shudder to envisage President Donald Trump addressing the annual United Nations General Assembly meeting and\/or any other global gathering.<\/p>\n

Under President Donald Trump global hostility, terror attacks and anti-America sentiments will escalate exponentially. Americans should not allow this to become a reality. There is too much at stake at this crucial juncture in the world’s history.<\/p>\n

Under President Donald Trump the majority of the world would not hate America rather they would hate America’s policy toward them.<\/p>\n

Truth Be Told: Yes, it is the truism that America putatively now needs an aggressive, forceful, albeit militarily strong president, nevertheless, the world certainly does not need an insulting, threatening and cavalier-oriented president who does not seem to be grounded in the stark realities and complexities of geo-politics in today’s world.<\/p>\n

In the final analysis, the stark political reality is that a meaningful portion of Americans are angry at the election of an African-American as their president and Commander-in-Chief. That’s a fact. And that’s the ready-made fodder that has so far fueled Donald Trump’s presidential campaign victories and popularity.<\/p>\n

However, it must be inserted here that mainstream as in hard core Republicans do not support Donald Trump as their presidential nominee.<\/p>\n

Truth Be Told: If Donald Trump were to be elected as president of the United States, then, surely, his presidency would be used as a potent recruiting tool by ISIS and other like-minded terror organizations.<\/p>\n

In sum, Americans should not only be held hostage by the tyranny of the minority but should also insure that Donald Trump is not allowed to run the United States of America as he ran Trump University.<\/p>\n
