\"ViolenceMINUTES after leaving her south Trinidad home on Thursday to attend classes at a nearby secondary school, a 17-year-old girl was attacked and raped by two men. <\/p>\n

A police report stated that the student boarded a black car which she believed was a taxi at about 9 am, to attend to classes. The report stated that the driver, upon reaching the vicinity of the school, he changed directions and instead drove towards a nearby village.

\nOn realising something was wrong, the girl tried to open the back door to escape but a man who was also seated in the back grabbed onto her. <\/p>\n

According to the report, the student was taken to an abandoned house where the men took turns raping her. <\/p>\n

After the assault, the men took the weeping teen to Sangre Grande where she was released. <\/p>\n

A report was made to the Sangre Grande police station and the teen was taken to the area hospital where medical examinations confirmed she was sexually assaulted. The girl was later treated and sent home. Up to late yesterday no arrests were made and investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n
