I am very unhappy with the comments of some of the members of the PP in relation to Dr. Kublalsingh and his family. I disagree with his fast but I admire his determination to stand firm to his convictions. I will not, therefore, abuse him verbally. Verbal abuse is a form of violence. This society is violent and the PP claims that they want to end the violence. How can they be trusted to end the violence when they are using violence in this situation. Dr. Kublalsing is also guilty od verbal violence. He cussed out Dr.Faud.
I call on the PP to be sensative and compassionate in dealing with this issue. Dr.Kublalsingh I call on you to end the hunger strike because if you die this country will lose you, a brillant man, who can contribute to the development of T&T.

There is always a long history associated with progress. In 1950′s onward the British moved out of colonialism and left billions to define their preferred future. For many in the Commonwealth progress has been a word to be frowned upon. In Guyana, Burnham came to power and determine that black rule will achieve this result of dominion as opposed to inclusion. The result is a nation back peddling instead of moving forward. In various commonwealth nations there has been the forward thinkers and then those whose ideas on progress is to do nothing.

Dr. Kublalsingh ideas on progress is to leave things the way they are, because it would destroy nature. Protect the environment, it is a good “catch phrase”, however, building the highway will do the environment a lot of good. Why? Because it would save people millions of hours in commute time and therefore reduce the high volume of green house gasses that is currently killing the planet. Building the highway where no one lives is an exercise in futility. Presently southerners are stuck for hours in commute time. My nephew from 5:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m.everyday in commute.

Wayne would have better spent his obstructionist hours in fighting for the people to be adequately compensated for having to move from their ancestral lands. He would have become a hero for justice, after all we know that the earth as a planet will eventually be destroyed. Saving family time, less commuting is one way of saving the environment and the citizenry from material opulence. Somebody needs to point Wayne in the right direction. Over to you Peter…

As I see it, Dr. Kublalsingh heads the Re-route Movement not “Stop the Highway Movement.”
There are two reasons for this stance. Firstly, citizens would be displaced in somewhat of an unreasonable manner. Secondly, the present route shows signs of unpredictability in the future. There is a possibility of flooding and erosion, thereby affecting the homes and livelihood of our citizens.
I dont know who presented what to whom, but what if this man dies and the second point becomes a reality?

Much ado about nothing. The sooner the highway is built, the quicker the moaners will fade away. Its for the benefit of thousands of citizens and like Mr. O’Connor said, that’s why there are laws for the Government to expropriate land.
